Faldaprevir shows promise treating hepatitis C, study says

A short course of faldaprevir taken with pegylated interferon and ribavirin successfully clears the hepatitis C virus, Austrian researchers told a liver conference. The study found that while more than nine out of 10 patients had an adverse event, a relatively small number were serious, with anemia being the most common problem.
