Arizona seniors may miss out on exit-exam boost

A just-passed bill that expands the bonus points students can earn to help them pass the Arizona exit exam lacked the two-thirds majority needed to make it take effect immediately once the governor signs it. As a result, unless the state education board revises its policy, which is unlikely, the measure won't benefit the 2,500 to 5,000 seniors who've yet to pass all three parts of this year's test.
