Fast food answers critic's charges with PR campaign

The fast-food industry, particularly McDonald's, has launched a PR offensive to counter negative publicity from industry critic Eric Schlosser's latest book, "Chew On This: Everything You Don't Want To Know About Fast Food" and the upcoming big screen version of Schlosser's "Fast Food Nation." The pro-industry effort includes letters to newspaper editors, protests at book signings and a new Web site, BestFoodNation.com.
