Report: Slowdown in Minnesota's med-tech, bioscience jobs

Minnesota experienced a five-year slowdown in the state's medical technology and bioscience employment from 1997 to 2002, due partly to outsourcing by major state firms, few new startups and greater competition from other states, according to a new report commissioned by BioBusiness Alliance of Minnesota. Although the state experienced a rebound in 2005, BioBusiness Alliance's chairman said, "We need to be concerned."
