New Orleans students in state-run schools fare poorly on exams

Roughly two-thirds of New Orleans high schoolers in state-run schools flunked Louisiana's graduation exam, according to data released Thursday. "The children of New Orleans have faced unprecedented challenges since Hurricane Katrina," said outgoing superintendent Robin Jarvis.
