Japan's glass-panel LCD makers eye Beijing bonanza

While this summer's Olympic Games in Beijing are putting the squeeze on many manufacturers and retailers of TV sets, Japanese makers of glass-panel LCD displays have the wind at their backs this year, according to analysts, who say the shares of a number of these companies remain undervalued. Analysts predict a wave of demand for these big-screen LCDs in advance of the Olympics while also noting that since LCD panels are marketed in yen instead of dollars, the manufacturers -- unlike other Japanese exporters -- will not be hurt by the dollar's weakness
