High-speed rail could transform Conn. airport, Oberstar says

High-speed train service is a key ingredient to expanding Connecticut's Bradley International Airport, Rep. James Oberstar, D-Minn., said. After a recent tour of Bradley, Oberstar said the airport has the potential to attract short-haul flights now going to Boston and New York. Oberstar, chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, indicated he would include mass-transit projects in federal transportation legislation he is drafting.
