Senators to hear 3 options for government health plan

Three options for a government-run health care plan are on the table and senators are expected to consider them behind closed doors this week, sources told the Associated Press. One plan would create a system similar to Medicare to be run by HHS, while a second would have the Medicare-like option run by an outside party. The third idea is to allow states to set up their own public plans for their residents.
