It would be a mistake to say European policymakers went too far with their large stabilization plan for the eurozone, according to The Economist. The European Central Bank's image as an inflation fighter was tarnished, and the plan might have taken pressure off politicians to cut deficits and implement economic reform, the magazine notes.
