Dam addition will boost reservoir capacity as part of $1.5B project

A $568 million project to raise the height of a San Diego County dam aims to double the capacity of the reservoir behind it. Believed to be the largest project of its kind, the water authority plans to build up the 220-foot San Vicente dam by 117 feet. The county's water authority says it is the biggest project of its type in the world.
