Senate climate bill to be unveiled today

A climate-and-energy bill that seeks to cut U.S. greenhouse-gas emissions while expanding offshore drilling and nuclear power will be formally introduced to the Senate today by Sens. John Kerry, D-Mass., and Joseph Lieberman, I-Conn. However, it is uncertain if the Senate will act on the bill this year or how the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico will affect its prospects.
