Teacher hosts tea party to interest girls in engineering

An Arizona teacher recently hosted a tea party attended by eighth-grade girls and high-school engineering students in an effort to interest more female students in science and technology. Educators say female students are typically wary of engineering because it is a male-dominated field. Teacher Sylvia Grace said she hopes what the female students learned during the tea party encourages them to enroll in pre-engineering courses for the next school year.
