White House recommends limits to help curb obesity

The U.S.'s childhood obesity task force issued a report Tuesday calling on food marketers to institute wide-ranging changes in the way food is marketed to children. The move is part of an overall effort by first lady Michelle Obama to reduce childhood obesity. The report advocates that retailers curb in-store marketing on certain products and that entertainment firms should limit the licensing of characters to support only foods and beverages deemed healthy.
