Federal judge freezes enforcement of Utah immigration law

U.S. District Judge Clark Waddoups has ordered a stay on Utah's immigration law, which mandates local law enforcers to verify the citizenship of people they arrest. Utah Gov. Gary Herbert said the state will comply with the district court's order and defend the law in a hearing scheduled for July 14.
