Mondelez announces $3.5B restructuring plan

Mondelez International announced last week a new $3.5 billion restructuring plan that will be implemented between 2014 and 2018 and focus on staffing and administrative costs. It is meant to "create a leaner, simpler and more focused organization by reducing operating costs to best-in-class levels through zero-based budgeting and by accelerating its supply chain reinvention initiative," said Irene Rosenfeld, chairman and CEO.
