Ice cream prices on the rise

Ice cream prices are going up, mainly because of political unrest in the Ivory Coast, where 40% of the world's cocoa crop is grown, natural disasters overseas affecting the vanilla crop and price fluctuations in the dairy industry. Increases could be as much as 6% to 20% or more, depending on region and product. A pint of Ben & Jerry's is going up 8%, while Klondike bars will cost 10 cents more per multipack.
