Iowa high-schoolers assess achievements through senior presentations

About 100 Iowa schools require seniors each spring to demonstrate their readiness to leave high school by publicly summarizing their academic growth and other accomplishments before family and friends. At Cedar Rapids Prairie High School, the 30-minute briefings must include "artifacts" drawn from the portfolios of work students have compiled over the past four years.
