Flush with the success of moving $3 billion in merchandise tied to last year's "Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith," retailers are banking on similar success with items linked to this summer's potential blockbusters, including "Cars," "Superman Returns" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest." But one analyst cautions that box office success doesn't always translate into strong merchandise sales.
