Businesses organizing for immigration reform

Fed up with uncertainty and worker shortages, employers are banding together to demand a solution to the immigration mess. In Houston, where about 10% of workers are undocumented, the traditionally conservative Greater Houston Partnership is spending $20 million to encourage employers to lobby their lawmakers for comprehensive reforms. ImmigrationWorksUSA has linked about 20 state-based organizations into a national federation that will lobby from the local level all the way to Capitol Hill.
