NBCU's flagship New York station to become 24-hour "content center"

NBC Universal's WNBC New York will be its first owned-and-operated station to be transformed into a nonstop "content center," whose output will include its traditional newscasts, as well as material for the Web and a planned 24-hour cable news channel on its digital tier.
