Some airlines deny passengers chance to deplane when diverted

American Airlines, United, Delta and American Eagle routinely left passengers on board when diverted to alternative airports rather than giving them the opportunity to deplane, according to FlyersRights.org's analysis of government data. Other carriers allowed passengers to wait in the airport terminal, the advocacy group said.
