Stater Bros. CEO on lessons from downturn

Jack H. Brown started his grocery career bagging at age 13 and is now CEO of Stater Bros. Markets. He talks about customer service and what he learned from a previous downturn. "It's my job to help my customers feed their families, so what we did was set up more family-pack items," he says. "We brought in a large amount of controlled label items. We held price increases as long as we could."
