Both sides like Kagan's stance on tort reform

U.S. Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan is winning rave reviews from people on both sides of the tort-reform debate. Though she's seen as being pro-plaintiff, those who've worked with Kagan say she's genuinely interested in hearing from and working with all parties. "Elena, unlike some strong ideologically pro-plaintiff people, would exchange views and listen," says one reform advocate.
