Physical activity is key for healthy aging

Experts say, and research indicates, that staying physically active can help ward off chronic disease and improve overall health as people age. A group of men who stuck with a boot-camp style exercise program for 20 years or more now have lower bad cholesterol, higher good cholesterol and aerobic capacity, flexibility and strength levels that have not shown expected age-related declines.
