Diabetes coincides with a higher risk of cancer, study finds

A study in the journal Diabetes Care found that men and women with diabetes had a 10% increased risk of developing any type of cancer compared with those without the disease. Men with diabetes had an increased risk of pancreatic, rectal, bladder, kidney and prostate cancer, while women with diabetes had an increased risk of leukemia and breast cancer, researchers found.
