Insurer releases state rankings on dog-bite claims

In 2010, insurer State Farm paid out in excess of $90 million on 3,500 dog-bite or dog-attack claims filed by policyholders, according to a company spokesman, who says most of the bites were to young people. The insurance company supports AVMA-sponsored National Dog Bite Prevention Week as part of its effort to highlight the effects of dog aggression.
