Bid to postpone emergency contraceptive ruling rejected by judge

U.S. District Judge Edward Korman said he will not delay his verdict making the Plan B emergency contraceptive available without prescription to women of all ages. "In my view, the defendants' appeal is frivolous and taken for the purposes of delay," Korman said. A requirement to show identification would restrict access, Korman said. The agency has until today to ask for a stay as it appeals, the judge said.
