Drop in school meal participation is expected to be temporary

Many school districts have seen small decreases in school meal participation since new federal nutrition standards took effect, said Jane McLucas, president of the Massachusetts chapter of the School Nutrition Association. However, sales are expected to rebound as students adapt to the healthier fare, she added.
