Survey: Shifting family scenarios add pressure for women's finances

A survey found that women in the U.S. have an increased need for financial independence as social structures shift and more of them are living in single-parent situations or with an unmarried partner, among other circumstances, according to Allianz Life Insurance. "We found women that are part of the new modern family are feeling a great deal of pressure to be more engaged with financial planning," said Katie Libbe of Allianz Life.
