EIA: Production across U.S. shale plays to rise next month

U.S. shale oil production is expected to reach 4.43 million barrels per day in June, up 75,000 barrels per day from May, according to the Energy Information Administration's drilling productivity report. The Eagle Ford Shale will account for the highest increase, a rise of 26,000 barrels per day to about 1.4 million barrels per day. Oil production per rig is projected to improve by one barrel per day to an average of 271 barrels per day.
