Former Georgia Tech professor agrees to repay $48,000 to students, vendor

A Georgia Institute of Technology professor of environmental engineering was allowed to resign instead of being terminated after allegations that he demanded money from four graduate students and also took money from a vendor. Associate professor Jochen Teizer put the money into his private bank account for personal use, according to the university. Under an agreement with the university, Teizer agreed to pay back $48,253 to students and the vendor.
