National advertisers projected to make gains on local campaigns

National ad spending on local media is expected to rise to 43% of local budgets by 2018 to $68.9 billion, largely due to growth in mobile ad spending, according to BIA/Kelsey. Local advertisers will spend an estimated $83.6 billion this year and will still carry the majority of local media budgets over the next five years.
