Survey finds low heart-disease awareness among Europeans

Surveys have shown many Americans do not know the warning signs of heart disease or a heart attack, and a recent Novartis survey found a similar lack of awareness among Europeans. Only 8% of the 11,000 people polled in 11 European countries were able to identify warning signs of heart failure, and 25% would wait to seek medical attention or would not seek medical advice at all when experiencing symptoms.
