Delhaize donates to community projects in advance of new chain debut

Delhaize Group's Kash n' Karry supermarkets are being replaced by Sweetbay Supermarkets, a new chain concept that will debut in Southwest Florida. In advance of opening the first stores, the company is investing in local community projects such as public parks, Boys and Girls Clubs and other charitable groups. Delhaize Group and Hannaford Bros. announced the joint creation of the new chain in March.
