Philadelphia emporium continues gourmet cheese trend

The 500 varieties of cheese currently available at Di Bruno Bros.' new store, which includes a cheese bar and cafe, will be supplemented by an additional 300 seasonal cheeses, says one of the co-owners. The store joins a cultural trend of interest in gourmet cheeses, sales of which have increased 29% from 2002 to 2004, according to the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade in New York.
