Strong sales reported for Sepracor's new insomnia drug

Sepracor's new insomnia drug, Lunesta, has gotten off to a fast start in the market and appears to be cutting into sales of Sanofi-Aventis' Ambien, currently the biggest-selling sleeping pill in the world. Market trackers report more than 150,000 prescriptions of Lunesta in its first month on the market, topping the openings of several widely used drugs.
