Europe's major exchanges experience solid growth in 2007

Deutsche Borse, NYSE-owned Euronext, the London Stock Exchange and other European stock exchanges saw considerable growth last year despite increased competition and significant market volatility. The value of shares traded at Deutsche Borse was up 58%, Euronext grew by 46.4% and LSE gained 36.5% to 10.3 trillion. Smaller European exchanges, such as Spain's Bolsas y Mercados Espanoles, Borsa Italiana and OMX, also did well.
