AAA: Slight drop expected in Memorial Day air travel

The summer travel season will kick off with a 1.5% increase in Memorial Day travel, according to a AAA study, and the vast majority of those trips will be in a car. AAA says about 2.1 million Americans, or 7% of total holiday travelers, will fly on an airline. "It's safe to say you will see a decline based upon reduced demand and an ailing economy," says a spokesman for the Air Transport Association.
