Apple still pursues iPhone "jailbreakers"

Apple is still trying to nab users who "jailbreak" their iPhones -- that is install software that lets them download unofficial third-party applications, a practice that some groups defend on the grounds that it is free and does no harm to Apple. In a 2008 filing with the U.S. Copyright Office, Apple charged that jailbreaking violates the law, can damage the device and relies on modified software that infringes on its copyright.
