Chains offer nifty promotions to attract guests during tough times

Hotel chains have gotten creative in recent months in order to attract guests during the tough economy. Hyatt Hotels, for instance, has relaunched its Gold Pass Loyalty Program, offering free stays and complimentary Internet access, and Crowne Plaza has teamed up with Calloway Golf in offering guests golf equipment as a perk for spending the night.
