Report: Hospitals still expect to buy imaging equipment this year

Many hospital radiology administrators in the U.S. plan to buy some key diagnostic imaging equipment later this year even after experiencing a difficult first quarter, according to a report from market research firm IMV Medical Information Division. The report also found that, on average, imaging procedures for CT, digital radiography, non-OB/GYN ultrasound, MRI, PET and other modalities increased from the first quarter last year to the same quarter this year.
