Chevron settles Calif. refinery-tax dispute

Chevron and officials in Richmond, Calif., have agreed to settle tax disputes involving the company's refinery there. Chevron will continue to pay about the same utility tax, or about $20 million annually, and city officials will no longer appeal a judge's ruling that rejected a proposal to increase the company's taxes.
