Disney's new 2,000-room resort to open in 2012

Walt Disney World's Art of Animation Resort in Orlando, Fla., will feature 864 traditional rooms and another 1,120 suites with designs based on four animated Disney movies. The resort, which will be priced as a "value" hotel, is Disney's first new hotel in seven years. Demand for this type of accommodation has jumped, according to Jim Durham, vice president for resort projects at Disney Imagineering.
