Missouri Senate panel considers bill on horse-processing plants

The Missouri Senate Conference Committee was scheduled Wednesday to determine the final contents of a bill that would allow horse-processing plants in the state. Under the bill, plant operators in the state would be required to pay registration and processing fees to cover meat-inspection costs.
