Report: Android upgrade will add Wi-Fi, USB tethering support

Users of Android 2.2 -- codenamed Froyo -- may be able to tether their phones over USB and Wi-Fi connections in order to turn them into modems for mobile hot-spot devices in a "MiFi" model, according to reports. Earlier this week, Sprint said its Evo 4G handset users could have hot-spot access for an extra $30 a month.
