Student-response systems help shy students participate

Technology can help shy students feel more comfortable when participating in class discussions, according to a New Jersey educator. Samantha Morra, a middle-school technology coordinator, says her students use a hand-held response device called the Qwizdom Student Response System to answer questions posed in class. "Students that won't raise their hand will respond with the personal responders," Morra said.
