Vets perform ultrasound eye exam on 70-year-old tortoise

Veterinarians recently performed an eye exam on a 500-pound Aldabra tortoise at the Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines, Iowa, using an ultrasound device to determine the cause of its vision problem. The tortoise, which is about 70 years old, reportedly was the first of its kind to undergo the procedure without anesthesia.
