Advisers help boost retirement confidence, survey finds

Americans who work with financial advisers are more likely to feel prepared for retirement, according to a survey from consulting firm LIMRA. More than half of individuals who are working with an adviser say they will be able to pay for their preferred retirement lifestyle. Meanwhile, many of those who did not have an adviser felt retirement could prove unaffordable. "Those who use professional financial advisors enjoy the peace of mind that they are making the appropriate decisions to ensure they have a financially secure retirement," LIMRA Director Marie Rice said in a report.
