NRC discovers emergency-preparedness issues at some plants

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission found emergency readiness issues at some U.S. nuclear plants after inspections. Items included faulty pumps, emergency tools that are being used in other areas in facilities and inadequate diesel to fuel backup generators. The agency is working to address the issues immediately, officials said.
