Bill seeks to add protections for pregnant workers

A bill in Congress seeks to require employers to make more accommodations for pregnant workers. Federal law often requires employers to treat pregnant workers as sick or disabled, which limits the legal protections they receive, says Noreen Farrell of Equal Rights Advocates. Seven states have pregnancy-accommodation laws.
